Changing Places are fully accessible toilets designed with generous space and equipment for people who may be limited in their own ability, so require equipment to help them either get on a toilet or require help getting changed.

They include:-

• Adequate space for a disabled person & two carers
• Centrally placed toilet
• A height adjustable adult changing size bench
• A tracking hoist
• A screen or curtain to allow the disabled person privacy
• A non slip floor
• Shower or floor drain
• Large waste bin for disposable pads

A Changing Places APP can be downloaded onto a mobile phone. Enabling you to search by location or postcode when you are out & about.

All Changing Places facilities are accessed by a RADAR key which provides disabled users independent access to facilities provided for them. Please see RADAR key information.

Currently at present there are 40 Changing Places facilities within Northern Ireland. But this is expected to increase. Opening hours & information including newly added facilities can be found on www.changing-places.org
